Dear fellow dieters,

I have been visiting and follow Dr.Poon's reccomendations since November 16, 07.
Although I admit I have fallen off the wagon a few times, I have tried hard to continue along on my weight loss journey. This lifestyle change hasn't been easy but I think I made a decision that I know will change my life forever. I have realized the costs of cheating, and in my opinion, its just not worth it.

I am glad to announce that since my first visit, I have lost almost 90 lbs, and feel great! I have a long way to go and have come to terms with the fact that it will take some time to reach my ideal weight.

The first indication I was on the right track was that my blood sugars were averaging 5.5-5.8, and I no longer had to take glucomorm-my family doctor was amazed. Dr.Poon had forecasted this event the first time I visited him, and honestly I didn't believe him. I can go on forever of how I feel better in so many ways, and I encourage all of you to continue, start, and believe it can be done, as I never thought I could eat and lose weight-especially as fast a I have.

I believe in Dr.Poons system, and I now believe in myself enough to continue on this weight loss journey-and hope you do too, as it amazes me everytime I step on the scale and have shed another pound.

Hi Everyone,

I had my 6 week weigh-in yesterday and I am so happy, I am down 26.5 lbs!!! Even with the piece of Chocolate birthday cake I had on Thursday (its my birthday and I was surprised at a restaurant with it - really the only real cheat i've had on the diet), I got right back on track, and still managed to be in keytosis on Saturday morning.

I will definately meet and possibly exceed my target of 10% in 8 weeks and I am thrilled about that.  Dr. Murdy said that we should be able to lose 10% of our weight every 8 weeks for as long as we are on the diet and not just the initial 8 weeks, and I had no idea about that and I for one, and thrilled to hear that.  (Of course, the number of lbs that is 10% of your weight changes (gets reduced) as you progressively lose weight.  Great to know - I had no idea - I thought 10% was the initial 8 weeks only.

In the summer, faced with not being able to fit into any of my jeans and other winter season clothes from last year I am thrilled that my old clothes fit me now and now that it has become cooler, thankfully, I do not have to go out and buy new clothes in yet again larger sizes - which would have depressed me to no end.  What a  relief.  As is, I have 2 bursting closets full of clothes in every size from11-12 up to 24 from the last 8-9 years which is when my weight gradually and progressively crept on me.  On the downside, in terms of my body composition, I have not seen a subtantial reduction in my fat composition on Tanita and I know that excersize and building and maintaining muscle mass is the way I have to deal with my target body composition goals.  I still have not yet started an excersize program.  Why is it so difficult for me to get started on that???  No matter how busy I am, I know that I do have time and need to make time - set it as a priority and starting doing some swimming or aquafit classes - that would really make a difference in that regards.   Keeping positive, while I still have a long way to go, I do feel the weight loss so far and I feel good.

I just wanted to report the good news with everyone and thank everyone here in this group for your advice and support and encouragement along the way.

Dear Dr. Poon,

The diet is going great, I don’t really look at as diet. It’s a way of life for me! I had a baby on Dec 17/2006 and I started your program in April and I have lost almost 70 pounds and my goal is 85 pounds. That will bring me to my goal weight! The reason it’s so much it’s because I never lost my first pregnancy weight.

I am so glad it’s finally coming off,  I ‘m not having anymore kids so there is no more excuses.

I thank you very much, you have taught me how to eat properly and read labels.

I have been very remiss in not writing this note of thanks much sooner. My life has really changed since starting your program.

Before, I was at a point of no return, I felt. Each few years I seemed to be gaining another ten pounds. My clothing sizes increased also to the point where, last summer, a size fourteen was comfortable. I could not bear to see my reflection in windows as I passed. I am a teacher working with very young, slim women. I felt old and unable to keep up. No matter how hard I tried, I could not lose an ounce. Last summer I golfed daily and went for long walks. I ate limited meals but with no results. At my yearly physical, Dr. B. referred me to your office. I was praying you would accept me as a client. In under two months I lost 25 pounds. I "graduated " at the beginning of December and today (March 27th), I have not gained back any unwanted weight.

Dr. B. was very supportive and always honest. She has taught me along with constant reference to Dr. Poon's book, how to eat properly. Although I was never a heavy eater I made poor choices. For this diet, or healthier way of eating, I believe it is important to WANT to lose weight. The first week was very difficult but results made everything worthwhile. I am now more energized and it was great going to the mall to have my clothes altered...I now wear a size six pants. My family eats healthier. We are constantly going back to the grocery store for more fruits and vegetables. I believe, as Dr.Poon mentions inches book, we are all going to cheat a little but get right back on the program.

Dr. B. and Dr.Poon, thank you so much for giving me back my youth. I am greatly indebted to you.

God bless the day when a friend told me about Dr. Poon. I've lost 30lbs and do not..... garbage food. I'm and feel like a million dollars.

Due to illness and excessive amount of pills I gained a lot of weight. I could not seem to be able to loose the weight. after starting Dr. Poon's diet. I was amazed how fast the pounds starting to drop off. I am almost there at the weight i would like to be and amd sure that with Dr. Poon's, continued help I will reach my goal.

After seeing Dr. Poon for a few month's. I lost over 30lbs went off insulin and feel like a million dollars. Before I was taking 3 injections a day over 100 units a now just the Metabolic Diet and exercise.

I am 64 years old and have tried every diet over my lifetime (Jenny Craig, Weight Waterches, Dr. Bernstein, Hypnosis, Diet Workshop, etc.). In fact, when I started this diet Dr. Poon told me that people like myself are the least successful with his diet. I have lost 46 pounds (in 6 months) and as a bonus I have learned how to eat properly. Before attmpting this program I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and was also taking blood pressure and cholesterol medication. I now do not take any medication and am feeling great. I can honestly say that this has been the easiest pgroam that I have ever attempted and the one that I have been most sucessful with.

Dear Dr. Poon,

You have saved my life, I am 66 years old woman, diabetic type 2, high blood pressure, cholestrol and artrties. My weight on the 27th of October was 212 pounds and today I am 189 pounds my size was 22 and now 16, I have already cut most of the medication, my blood sugar is normal now, I feel great, I can walk now everyday. Thank you again, my resolution for the new year is to reach my goal 130 pound, I know that I can do it with your help.

After 10 years of trying different diets, I’m finally loosing weight!!! Thanks to Dr. Poon I’ve lost 28 lbs in the past 4 months, and cut the dosage of my high blood pressure pills in half. I am very close to reaching my goal of 11 lbs more. The beauty of this diet is – I do no feel hungry (may be this is why the diet works for me) and Dr. Poon is always on guard watching my progress. I have learned to eat healthy, drink lots of water/tea and keep exercising.
